Como parte del proyecto Cristo: Rey de las naciones, en ésta ocasión se describe la nación de Bielorrusia.
Bielorrusia es una de las repúblicas resultantes de la división de la antigua Unión Soviética. Limita con Lituania, Letonia, Rusia, Ucrania y Polonia.
Carece de mar. Cuenta con más de 11.000 lagos. El 26 % de su tierra es cultivable, aunque solo el 0,6% lo es todo el año.
Los idiomas oficiales son el ruso y bielorruso, el ruso es más usado que el bielorruso, sobre todo en las ciudades. Hay minorías que hablan polaco y Ucraniano.
RELIGIÓN
Cerca del 78% de la población es cristiana ortodoxa. El catolicismo con un 18% es la segunda religión más importante. El estado es oficialmente aconfesional.
MOTIVOS DE ORACIÓN
Para que Dios tenga misericordia del pueblo Bielorruso, incluyendo a sus gobernantes, y puedan, por gracia, reconocer a Jesucristo como su Señor.
Por el fortalecimiento y consuelo del pueblo de Dios allí en Bielorrusia, para que con denuedo sigan proclamando las buenas nuevas que hay en el Señor Jesucristo.
Por obreros fieles, que vayan a Bielorrusia a servir en la expansión del reino de Dios.
