Como parte del proyecto Cristo: Rey de las naciones, en ésta ocasión se describe la nación de Bahamas.
Gobernada por una Monarquía Constitucional y Sistemas Parlamentarios que reconocen como Jefe de Estado al Rey de Inglaterra quien designa a un Gobernador general como su representante con poderes limitados y ceremoniales.
Su capital es Nassau, que se encuentra en la isla Nueva Providencia y tiene aproximadamente 235.000 habitantes. Otras islas que conforman Bahamas son: Andros, Gran Inagua, Gran Bahama, Gran Ábaco, Eleuthera y San Salvador.
RELIGIÓN
Cristianismo 94,5 %, de los cuales la mayoría pertenece a los Protestantes con un 61.9%. Los católicos romanos son un 16,8% y los anglicanos 9,5%. Hay un buen número de inmigrantes haitianos que practican el catolicismo y el vudú.
MOTIVOS DE ORACIÓN
Para que Dios tenga misericordia de las Bahamas y regale salvación a los que aún no han nacido de nuevo.
Para que Dios siga enseñando sus caminos a su remanente en las Bahamas y éste viva en obediencia, siendo luz y un buen
testimonio a los no convertidos.
Para que las iglesias locales en las Bahamas permanezcan unidas, creciendo en el conocimiento de DIOS y haciendo discípulos de Jesucristo en otras naciones.
